Ohio Rep. Robert Mecklenborg from Cincinnati who represents western Hamilton County.
Rep. Mecklenborg was one of the co-sponsors of the "Heartbeat Bill" which criminalized abortion in Ohio after only six weeks term of pregnancy, a point in the term that many women are not even aware that they are pregnant.
Rep. Mecklenborg was driving through Dearborn County, Indiana in the very early hours of the morning of April 23 in a car with temporary Kentucky plates when an Indiana state trooper pulled him over. The trooper observed that the car had a burned-out headlight. In his report the officer said that he suspected Mecklenborg was intoxicated because he smelled alcohol and the representative had “glassy, bloodshot eyes.”
The Representative refused a chemical test but failed three field sobriety tests. He also tested positive for Viagra. This may have been related to the fact that the passenger in his car was a 26 year old stripper.
I am sure that this paragon of virtue was only offering a stranded motorist a lift in the small hours of the morning...And I am sure his wife believed him.
