125 years ago today King Ludwig II of Bavaria died. He was deposed on the grounds of madness without an examination and died under dubious circumstances the following day. He is best remembered for commissioning the building of the worlds most beautiful castles and as the patron of the composer Richard Wagner.
One of his most quoted saying was, "I wish to remain an eternal enigma to myself and others."
